Dr Atonia Mills, DC, MChiro
“Health is the crown on the well-persons head that only the sick person sees.”
Antonia Mills (we all call her Toni) grew up in the Cornish countryside, where she led a really active life. After many years of playing high-level sports, she had built up a series of injuries that started to hold her back as an athlete. After seeing many Consultants and Specialists and with no conclusive explanations or improvement, Toni went on a search for answers. Thankfully she found them at a local Chiropractic centre and was soon able to play sports again, pain-free. It was at this time that Toni became curious as to why and how the treatments had helped when conventional medicine had not.
Her curiosity soon turned into a passion for understanding health and the human body and this ultimately led her to study Chiropractic at the Anglo European Chiropractic College (AECC). During the course, she also spent time observing and learning about the Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC) technique with a local chiropractor. Having attended ABC seminars and been adjusted herself, she was able to not only experience the changes for herself but most importantly understand why and how they worked.
As a Chiropractor
Having suffered from numerous sporting injuries, which ultimately prevented Toni from pursuing a career in sports, she has a particular interest in not only the mechanics of how the body works and functions, but also how to prevent the reoccurrence of injuries and allow the body to perform at its optimum.
As a Person
Toni has always been a highly motivated and conscientious individual, with great emphasis on her own personal and academic development. Consequently, she always seeks to develop a thorough understanding of her patients’ condition in order to provide the best Chiropractic care and advance her knowledge and skills. Alongside her education, she has pursued her passion for horses. Beth and Demi, her two current horses regularly get chiropractic treatment to keep them happy and functioning at their best. When Toni isn’t with her horses, you can find her at her local gym or on a run around Bushy Park. She has
always believed that it’s important to look after your own body since you only get one!
